We are thrilled to share the success of the TSB (Técnico Solar Boat) team, who have achieved remarkable results in the 2024 Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. Competing against top international teams, TSB secured second place in the Solar Class and won the prestigious Eco-Conception Prize with their innovative hydrogen-powered prototype, São Miguel 02.

Key Highlights from TSB’s Achievements:

• Second Place in Solar Class: The São Rafael 03, equipped with WEIPU connectors, demonstrated outstanding performance and reliability.
• Eco-Conception Prize: São Miguel 02 was recognized for its sustainable design and engineering, showcasing TSB’s commitment to eco-friendly innovation.

WEIPU connectors play a vital role. Specifically, the SF12, SA12, and WAC3 series connectors were crucial in ensuring safe and efficient connections in the solar and hydrogen prototypes. These connectors were used extensively in various systems, from the battery box to the balance of the plant, providing robust and secure connections essential for the demanding marine environment.

Exploring the Benefits of WEIPU Connectors in TSB Prototypes:

• Battery Box: The SF12 connectors were vital in the new battery design of the São Rafael 03, offering quick and secure connections for different power and signal needs.
• Balance of Plant Box: The SF12 and WAC3 connectors ensured the reliable operation of the hydrogen system’s control electronics, which are protected from salt water and debris.
• Ease of Assembly and Robustness: WEIPU connectors, with the gold-plated contacts, offered excellent durability and resistance to oxidation and corrosion, crucial for marine applications.
